NMAT 2014 Details
Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies conducting conman entrance test [NMAT] for the admission in its B-school. NMAT is conducted every year & students are allowed to make three attempts & out of it the best result or score is considered as the final result.

NMAT is considered the most difficult examination for admission in B-schools. If we consider the overall exam idea it contains 24 cat level questions & 24 CMAT level questions. We can consider this exam of both speed based & strategy based exam because first of all there is a time constrain you can't give more than 1 minute to any question. Time plays one of the most crucial factor while giving the examination as the average time is much less.

Important thing to remember 
After each section you will find the box showing do you want to continue to the next section. Yes or No. Click on yes fast because the is running hence more the time you take before clicking on "yes to continue" lesser will the time you will get in less section.
Don't miss any question, since their is no negative marking so attempt all the questions. Leaving Questions will reduce your chance of getting selected

NMAT Cut-off
NMAT overall cutoff each year falls around in the range of 208 to 210. If we consider section wise cutoffs
Quantitative Aptitude contains: 48 questions
Cutoff is 30 +
Time duration: 60 minutes

Verbal contains : 32 questions
cutoff is 20 +
Duration: 22 minutes

Logical Reasoning contains:  40 questions
cutoff is 25 +
Time Duration: 38 minutes

How to start the prepare? 
After your document verification at the test center, the first screen in the computer will show you your shapshot which they take it before exam.
Before paper starts they will given you chice of how to attempt the examination. You can give the exam in the followling pattern
1-Verbal 2-Quant 3-Logical Reasoning
1-Quant 2-Verbal 3-Logical Reasoning
1-Verbal 2-Logical Reasoning 3-Quant
1-Quant 2-Logical Reasoning 3-Verbal
1-Logical Reasoning 2-Quant 3-Verbal
1-Logical Reasoning 2-Verbal 3-Quant

This selection depends upon your proficiency in each section. If you are good in Quant then start with quant first. Chosse your best section first then worst second & moderate for the 3rd choice.
After this selection your paper will start accordingly after following the instructions.

Section wise details

Qunatitative Apptitude
In quant it is better if you leave the questions which are seems longer
The paper contains
You basic quant questions, incluing Geometry, Artithmetic,  Equations
Data Sufficiency
Data Interpretation: incluing Line Graph, Pie Chart & Table type
2 or more Data Interpretation Sets: These sets are calculative & time consuming

Verbal 
In verbal you have 22 minutes with 32 questions. In which you will get 2 RC. Anyone who starts with an Rc will sureshot won't get selected because Reading Comprehension need time to answer their questions & all the Rc's are inference based hence you need to read it thoroughly to answer the questions.
