In the 18th century mechanical engineering emerged as a separate field in Europe during industrial revolution.Later on in 19th Century because of vast development in physics , mechanical engineering emerged as a separate stream.It is considered as oldest branch of engineering and also referred as the 'mother' branch of engineering.
