3 years full time Diploma in engineering in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Metallurgy/ Chemical/ Ceramics/ Civil, and Instrumentation discipline from Govt. Recognized Institute.

Attendant-cumTechnician(Trainee)
Matriculation and ITI in Fitter/ Welder/ Electrician/ Air conditioning /Refrigeration//Draughtsman/Machinist/Turner/ Instrument Mechanic/ Electronic Mechanic / IT & ESM trades from Govt. Recognised Institute.

Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler Operation)
3 years full time Diploma in engineering from Govt. Recognised Institute
with 2nd Class or 1st Class Certificate of Boiler Competency.

Age limit(as on 1.01.2013)
Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee), Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee)
Maximum age: Gen. 28 years, SC: 33 years, ST 33 years, OBC: 31 years, PWD 10 years

Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler Operation)
Maximum age: Gen.-30 years, SC: 35 years, ST: 35 years, OBC: 333 years, PWD: 10 years
