Age limit: Between 18 to 23 years as on 1st Jan’ 2013.
Relaxation: 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates

Education Qualification: Minimum Metric or equivalent from a recognized State/Central Education Board.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200/- plus grade pay Rs.2000/-

Test
(a) Physical efficiency Test : There will be 05 Kilometers race to be
completed within 24 minutes.
(b) Written Test : The written test will consist of objective type multiple choice question. The question paper will consist of 100 marks to be attempted in 2 hours.
(c) Medical examination will be conducted as per BSF Medical Manual
