SSC Lower Division Clerk Exam Syllabus 2014
Staff Selection Commission(SSC) is going to conduct the recruitment Examination for the post of Lower Division Clerk as Group 'C' staff. The examination will be conducted on 23rd March 2014 (Sunday). The selected candidates will be appointed in various Government Departments of Clerical Services. Candidates selected will be rendered for not less than 3 years regular service as Group C employ with Grade pay of Rs 1800. Candidates who are just 12th pass and looking for the Government Job can apply for it and prepare for the exam so that they can achieve their best.
Exam Centers
This exam will be conducted at centers in New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Allahabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Guwahati Chandigarh and Raipur.
Exam Syllabus: Candidates will be selected based on the written examination which will have 2 papers of 100 marks each . The first paper will be of 1 hour 45 minutes in which candidates have to write Short Essay in either English or Hindi and the second paper will be a objective type paper of 2 hours 20 minutes. This paper will contain 50 questions of General English or Hindi and 50 questions of General Knowledge which also includes Geography of India.

In this you will be given a general topic on a specified topic there will be several topics hence select the topic in which you feel comfortable and you have something to write. Sometimes we select topic and we don't have any thing new to write, after selecting the topic the next major hurdle is to prevent grammatical mistakes & spelling mistakes. Since you have to write essay in just 400-500 words hence you have to choose your works judiciously in order to get selected. Part II: (A) Language: In this section it will be tested weather you are prefect in the language you have selected i.e you are able to make perfect sentences with the use of proper tenses and you don't have any grammatical errors. You are able to assemble and rearrange data and can write in tabular form.
Part II: (B) General Knowledge: This will be an Objective type paper which will contain objective type questions related to General Knowledge & current affairs. Students who all in the habit of reading newspaper and books daily will be benefit indirectly with this candidates should also be aware of Geography of India as questions related to this will also be asked in the examination.
