Mechanical Engg. questions asked in Written Test / Interview

Preparing for Technical Interview ?
Branch : Mechanical
Mechanical Engineering is one of the toughest branch in Engineering and candidates passing through this branch finds it very difficult to face written test and more over Technical Interview which comes when they are appearing for their placement.

What to study for Technical Interview ?
Candidates who are looking for the tips and questions for their technical interview than this is the right place as we are going to real time questions asked in the interview. One of my friend who was in Mechanical appeared in the interview of "L&T IES" , a kind of dream job for all those who want a core job, like most of the Mech Engg students wants. While he was facing the Technical Interview he was asked few questions which are listed below

Ques 1 : Give us a real time example of Buoyancy ?
Answer: Tending to keep afloat or rise to the top of a liquid or gas is called buoyancy and the real time application for this is parachute.

Ques 2 : What is the difference between piping and pipeline ?
Answer: Pining is what done in any building and pipeline is the long sequence of pipes placed between one city to another like gas pipes etc.

Ques 3 : Describe your final year Project ?
Answer: This is the most comfortable questions if you have done your final year project yourself.

Only these three questions were asked which decided his future weather he will be in this company or not, this is what most of the company wants apart form the questions asked like describe your project which every one knows, the other two questions were just the basics of the Mechanical Engineering , hence do make in your mind that instead of knowing your toughest chapter in Mechanical its better you clear all your basics because this is what most of the top companies want, if you don't have your basics clear why sould they hire you ?, as other things may or may not be useful for them but basics will be useful in every application and field in which company might be looking to place you.
