We recommend these books as they contain previous year paper and other important stuffs
Firstly students need to read the whole syllabus from the module given by the ICAI. Students also recommend to referring the practice module given by ICAI. If students are going for any kind of coaching classes for the CPT then they have to give practice exams taken by the ICAI at some regular interval. Students have to set the timetable about how to study all the subjects about given set of time and how to achieve that goal. It is suggested that students have to give more time to the topics in which they fell less comfortable.
For example it is very difficult to student sections and case studies of Indian contract act.
Students should try to study minimum 2 subjects in a day. In CPT examination there are only MCQ questions so that students have the benefit of choose correct answer from the given four options as the answer is in front of them. If student choose the wrong answer in the examination then 0.25 marks will be deducted with that answer as a negative marking. So students have to very careful about that and not to play gamble in the exam.
Accounting is the scoring subject so every student must sincerely focus on this topic and not to avoid the theory of this topic. Students try to achieve maximum marks in this subject. The basic concept of accountancy and depth of chapters like probability, Integration, Differentiation etc are included in this subject. In Law subject there are only three laws so this is also one of the easier like law of contract act and partnership act but sometimes students try to avoid this subject. They getting bored in this and also Economics but they cannot avoid this.
In Economics there are mainly two topics. One is Micro economics and the other is Macro economics. Micro economics includes the concept of internal factors of organization and macro economics includes the mainly external factors of the organization. To do effective study students try to do one theoretical subject and one practical subject in a day. Then QA is also scoring subject. There are so many mathematical problems. Students feel that this one is toughest subject but it is suggested to student that solving more and more problems of this kind of subject will give you accuracy in this subject. If student having any doubt related to study then he can also check the solution from the official website of ICAI.
Before 2 or 3 weeks of examination students have to start the revision. Students have to solve last 3 attempt papers and question bank given by the ICAI. Revise all the formulas of accountancy and QA. Students may also make some shortcuts for remember long answers of law and economics. Identify what type of questions would be asked and do the preparation in that manner. These all tips may be helpful for the clearing the CPT easily and most important factor to clear this type of examination is self believe and self confidence. If you secure a good marks in CPT then not to get overconfidence because at that time you only clear the short term goal. The main object is only to become Charter Accountant.
