Assam Police 2564 Constable recruitment exam details 2016
Assam Police is going to conduct the recruitment examination for the 2564 Constable post. The examination will be conducted in three parts including Physical Standard test, Physical Efficiency test and written test.

Physical Standard Test(PST): This test will be conducted to measure height, weight & chest of candidates. It also includes measuring of standards like knock knee, vision test, color blindness test, flat foot, varicose vein, physical deformities etc. This test will not carry any marks however its important to clear as candidates who will not meet the standard will not be taken forward to the appear in the physical standard test.



Physical Efficiency test(PET): This test will have a 40% weigh-age of total score, it will include two test i.e Race and Long Jump.
Male candidates who completes 3.2 kms in maximum 14 minutes. Candidates completing the race in 10 min or less will get 20 marks else it will reduce subsequently.
Female candidate who completes 1.6 kms race in 5 minutes and 30 sec of less will get 20 marks. If the time increases the marks will get reduce proportionally.

Similarly for the long jump for men candidates will get 20 marks for 500 cm mark or more, below that the marks will get reduce subsequently.
For female candidates will get 389 cm or more.Below that the marks will reduce subsequently.

[A]Percentage in Higher secondary: 
40 – 59.99 % : 2 marks
60 – 74.99 % : 3 marks
75 % & above : 5 marks

[B] National Cadet Corps(NCC)
NCC "C" Certificate: 3 marks
NCC "B" Certificate: 2 marks
NCC "A" Certificate: 1 marks

[C] Home Guards
Advanced Training and are deployed as home guard for more than 4 year : 3 marks
Advanced Training and are deployed as home guard for 1-4 years: 2 marks
Basic course + refresher training + duty as home guard for more than 4 year: 2 marks
Basic course + refresher training + duty as home guard for 1-4 year: 2 marks

[D] Sports
Represented India in International events: 3 marks
National level Sports person: 2 marks
State level Sports person: 1 marks

[E] Computer Proficiency
MCA: 5 marks
BCA: 4 marks
2 years Diploma from any Govt. / UGC recognized / accredited Universities / Institutions: 2 marks
Min 6 months course in Computers from Govt. / UGC : 1 mark

[F] Additional Weight-age for Fireman and SDRF
a) Swimming/Diving certificate - - 2 marks
b) Fire fighting / Rock climbing & Tracking certificate/Martial Arts certificates - 2 marks
c) ITI/Foreman certificate - 2 marks
