CIDCO recruitment exam 2016
City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Limited (CIDCO) is going to conduct online examination for 221 post of Assistant Engineer, Junior Engineer and other post. This is a good opportunity specially for Civil Engineers as out of 221 vacancies 173 are for Assistant Civil Engineer and that too a government job. Candidates who all are civil engineers and are preparing for government job would be knowing the importance of the same.
CIDCO has not yet mentioned the exact date for the recruitment online examination but they have mentioned that it will be conducted tentatively during February / March 2016. The exact date and the exam center with timings will be available on the call letter

Exam Details
CIDCO will be conducting the online examination for all the post, however the paper pattern will be a bit different for all the post. Candidates who have applied for Assistant Civil Engineer will have questions of 50 marks related to Professional Knowledge and for all post candidates will have questions to test the Marathi instead of professional Knowledge.
For all the post the maximum marks will be 200 out of which candidates have to score a minimum of 45% i.e 90 marks for post 1 to 7 and for rest of the post candidates have to score at least 54 marks in order to appear for Proficiency Test. The difficulty level and other details are available below.

v) Soil, nature of soil, stress distribution, compaction shear strength, slope stability analysis
vi) Foundation engineering: Site investigation, scope objective, drilling techniques

ix) water engineering, water demand, quality standard, sewage treatment, sludge disposal, sewage disposal
x) Highway planning, railway alignment, harbor planning, airport planning
General Knowledge: For this section candidate can go through any general knowledge book. Since this section also have significance weight-age hence we recommend candidates to prepare well for this section
