L & T Info-tech Technical Trainee Interview Experience
L & T Info-tech is one of the top growing software MNC which conducts recruitment drive throughout the year for various post.  Candidates who all would be appearing for the examination and want to know more about the placement drive then you are at the right place. Every year thousands of candidates appeared in the examination which follows a certain process. I appeared in the placement drive in February 2014.



L & T Infotech generally conducts the pool drive to select the candidates that means it selects a college in which all the top colleges of the city are allowed to take part and all the students who meet their minimum criteria. At my time the criteria for applying for the examination was

Qualification
Criteria
SSC, HSC                      
60% and above (Should have cleared in the first attempt)
Diploma (If Applicable)  
60% and above aggregate of all semesters
Graduation    
60% and above aggregate of all semesters for 2013 Pass out students. ( 2014 Students can register with CPI 6.4 and Above)

The criteria varies depending upon for what post and how much is the requirement from colleges to colleges. Al the students who meet this criteria were eligible to appear in the drive.
The process started with the common application form which all candidates need to fill in order to sit in the drive. Once we fill the application form candidates will be sent the hall ticket to appear in the written examination which takes places at the centers.

The Hiring process will consist of: -
1. Online Aptitude Test
2. Pre-placement Talk
3. Group Discussion
4. Paragraph writing
5. Profile & Functional Interview.

1. Online Aptitude Test : The Online Aptitude test is of moderate difficulty level candidates have multiple choice question from
1. Quantitative analysis.
2. Logical reasoning.
3. Verbal ability
 The cut off marks is decided by the company and candidates who clear this round is selected for the next round. Generally this round is the crucial round as most of the students gets rejected in the first round after which the rejection ration decreases. Hence candidates having good aptitude has a plus point as it will help you in crossing your first hurdle.
Prepare for the aptitude test

2 Pre-placement talk: After the completion of first round candidates are told about the company and their job profile. What is the company basically doing. In which sectors they are dealing (like healthcare, banking, finance etc). They generally tells as about why they are hiring and how will the further process follows in order to get hired.

3. Group Discussion:  Group discussion is done generally to check the communication skills and well as it test your knowledge. You don't know exactly what will be asked hence candidates who all are aware of current affairs and have a good idea about what's happening all over the world has a plus point. Around 10 to 15 students takes part in GD at a time. The topics are taken with which generally all are familiar as they just want to test your confidence.

4. Paragraph writing: This round is not taken generally in all the round , hence if their are lots of students of the drive is big and then round is conducted. This generally test your writing skills which test if the candidates is able to write grammatically correct English because each and every student who will selected will have some kind of written communication via email or any update. Generally very few of the candidates are rejected in this round hence candidates

5. Profile & Functional Interview: This round is generally conducted to test your technically skills for which they are hiring you. Hence candidates needs to  have basic knowledge of all the important subjects. Candidates should be sound in any of the programming language generally they ask questions from C/C++ or Java. Few of the sample questions are given below

They ask questions related to your area of Interest.  Rejection ration in this round is around 1 / 3rd

Explain OPPs Concepts:  ?
What is DBMS
What are the types of network
Difference between TCP/IP

Programs asked in previous interviews
A sorting in c programming
Addition of two numbers/ Swapping of two numbers
Assembly language program
program to find all lower case and replace it with upper case letters

6. HR Round: This round is generally conducted to know about your experience your liking and dislikes, they may give you some scenarios to test your thinking and to know how much stress you can take, how much concerned  are you towards this jobs. The most common question in this : Tell me about yourself
Keep telling all the details without hesitating and you can easily clear this round.
