SBI News Update: State Bank Of India is going to conduct the recruitment examination for the 2000 post of Probationary Officers. The examination will be conducted tentatively in the month of June 2015. Selection Procedure :
The examination will be conducted in the following phases:
Phase I - Preliminary Examination (100 Marks)
Duration : 1 hour

Friend see you have 1 hour with three sections.So you can see you won't be having much time, so please don't bluff, don't try to attempt all the questions as their is negative marking too i.e 1/4th of the total marks assigned to each questions.
Just guessing & ticking the answer will take you no where. You have to attempt the paper in smart way.
So here are few instructions about how to attempt or you can say tricks to attempt the paper.
1. See all these 3 sections won't require equal time so try to attempt those sections in which you find yourself strong or which takes less time.
2. According to us
Sections taking more time are: Quantitative Aptitude& Reasoning
Sections taking less time are: English Language
3. We suggest you to go first for sections which take less time so that you have ample amount of time for time consuming sessions.
4. All the questions except English section will be available in bilingual i.e. English & Hindi so don't think that hindi medium candidates or candidates who studied in Hindi can't perform.
5. Candidates who will be selected will go for Phase II.
Phase II - Main Examination (250 Marks)
Objective (200, 2 hours)+ Descriptive (50, 1 hour)
The Objective Test consists of 4 Sections with 50 marks each as follows:
a) Test of English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc.)
b) Test of General Awareness, Marketing &Computers
c) Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation
d) Test of Reasoning (High Level)
IMP : The candidates are required to qualify in each of the Tests by securing passing marks.
The Descriptive Test of 50 marks will be a Test of English Language
(Letter Writing & Essay).
Phase III - Group Discussion (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks)
The marks of the candidates who qualify in both the Objective Tests and Descriptive Test will be aggregated and arranged for each category. Adequate number of candidates in each category, as decided by the Bank will be called for Group Discussion and Interview. The candidates are required to qualify this test for final selection.
Final Selection
Merit List = Marks scored in Main Examination + Marks scored in GD & Interview
The selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category. All the results of GD & Interview will be posted on the Bank's website. List of selected candidates will be published in Employment News/ Rozgar Samachar.
